Stream Machine: May 24-26

Joey Lucchesi, SD @ TOR (49% Owned)
Lucchesi has seemingly struggled this season compared to last, as his strikeout rate and his ERA have regressed. However, his walk rate and HR/9 have both decreased as well, leading to a lower FIP. His xFIP and SIERA both point to him being better than his ERA currently shows, making him an interesting pitcher going forward. He gets an interesting matchup here, going against a Toronto offense that has a 65 wRC+ at home and a 72 wRC+ against lefties.

It’s Michael Porter Jr. Time in Denver

It has been 11 months since Michael Porter Jr heard his name called with the 14th pick by the Denver Nuggets in the 2018 NBA Draft. Don’t get me wrong, it’s absolutely a legendary feat to make the NBA Finals five consecutive times and it deserves plenty of recognition, but it isn’t exactly surprising, is it? Everyone likes an underdog story, and while this Warriors dynasty started out as one, it’s been a long time since that’s the case. So instead, I’ll focus on one specific player that I personally believe is possibly the biggest underdog story in the league – Alfonzo McKinnie.

Josh Bell Off To Historic Start

When Josh Bell first made his MLB debut three years ago, the expectations were sky high. Bell was supposed to anchor the Pirates lineup for years to come and contributed right away. After hitting a career-high twenty-six home runs in 2017 Bell only hit twelve last year. He was inconsistent at times and failed to be the Pirates power threat on a team in dire need. In the second half, however, Bell improved providing hope for the future. He has carried that success into 2019 in dominating fashion. His start is even more impressive considering the adversity this team has already faced.
