Kentucky guard B.J. Boston will be heading into the 2021 NBA draft. Even after a poor freshman season, the guard is still projected to be a late first-round pick. Boston is a raw prospect with tremendous upside to his offensive game and could be the league’s next scoring star.
The chances of finding a highly-touted rookie late in the draft is rare, but perhaps Boston already has such a player on its roster. So where could this sneaky good rookie come from?
Although the Phoenix Suns did not beat the Los Angeles Clippers in four games like the fans wanted, the Suns have finally reached the NBA Finals. The last time Phoenix reached the Finals was in 1993. In retrospect, the NBA world was much different then.

Head coaches want to see success with their team, as most would prefer to come into an organization that has winning features. While other teams have neither the roster nor the talent to entice premiere coaches to join their organization. These NBA vacancies are either Ideal for coaches or shaky for coaches going into the 2021-2022 NBA season.
The Dallas Mavericks finished the 2020-2021 season with a 42-30 record. This record landed the team the fifth seed in the Western Conference. Dallas is a rare organization, where the team rarely changes front offices and the coaching staff.
The Memphis Grizzlies finished the 2020-2021 NBA season with a 38-34 record. The team made the playoff play-in game tournament as the ninth seed in the Western Conference. They would win both games against the San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors to obtain the eighth seed in the playoffs. In both games, Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant excelled in his first taste of the NBA playoffs.
The Washington Wizards finished the season with a 34-38 record, which landed them the Eastern Conference’s eighth seed. The Wizards struggled for most of the season, as the team could not stay healthy.
The Miami Heat were just eliminated from the NBA playoffs. In the first round, the team ended up being swept by the Milwaukee Bucks led by Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Heat finished the season as the sixth seed, with a record of 40-32.
The Indiana Pacers finished this season with a 34-38 record. This gave the team the 9th seed in the Eastern Conference, which clinched the team a spot in the new play-in tournament. They would eventually be eliminated and now look to the offseason.
The Sacramento Kings finished the 2020-2021 NBA season with a 31-41 record. Just a few years ago, the Kings looked like a promising team on the rise, but have yet to fulfill the expectations since.
The Detroit Pistons are in a full-fledged rebuild. After a few years of trying to stay relevant in the Eastern Conference, the team announced that they will be rebuilding in the 2020-2021 season.
