The Baltimore Ravens traveled to Buffalo to take on the Bills in the AFC Divisional Round. After a defensive battle in the first half, Lamar Jackson exited with a concussion and the Bills pulled away, winning 17-3. Sunday’s game between the Browns and Chiefs will determine the Bills opponent in the AFC Championship next weekend.
Josh Allen connected eight times with Stefon Diggs for 106 yards and the game’s lone offensive touchdown. Bills’ cornerback Taron Johnson made the play of the game when he intercepted Jackson and returned it 101 yards for a touchdown.
First Half
Both teams played shutdown defense in the first half, only allowing a combined six points. Justin Tucker did miss a pair of field goals that bounced off the uprights. Regardless, six punts highlighted the first half in Buffalo.
Second Half
The second half was much more entertaining than the first. Buffalo opened the half with an 11-play drive that ended in an Allen-to-Diggs touchdown pass. On the following possession, Jackson and the Ravens drove into the red zone before throwing an interception to Taron Johnson who went 101 yards for another Bills touchdown. Buffalo led 17-3.
On the next drive for Baltimore, Jackson took a massive hit from two Bills’ defensemen and slammed his head on the turf. He was quickly ruled out with a concussion, handing the game over to Tyler Huntley, the Ravens fourth-string quarterback at the start of the season. As expected, the Ravens could not move the ball on offense and the Bills walked away with a 17-3 victory.

Buffalo advances to the AFC Championship for the first time since 1995 and will face the winner of the Browns-Chiefs game on Sunday. Both opponents will be tough to beat as the Bills lost to the Browns earlier this season and the Chiefs hold the best record in the league. Meanwhile, the Ravens are eliminated from the playoffs and will need to address their lack of weapons on offense if they want to take the next step.
