XFL DFS Week 3

Brandon Braasch | February 21st, 2020

I’m back with more of my XFL DFS top players. This week I’ll be focusing on the main DraftKings slate. All four games will be included on the slate. Below are my top players for this weekend’s games.

Quarterback

Jordan Ta’amu ($10,100 DK)

Ta’amu might just be the best DFS quarterback in the XFL. Outside of Phillip Walker, he averages five points more than the next quarterback. Walker does average more but I like Ta’amu’s running upside. He faces a New York Guardians’ defense that gives up an average of 260 passing yards per game. They are also last in the XFL in total yards given up at 389 yards. Even though it’s a small sample size, look for Ta’amu to put up great numbers against this Guardian’s defense.

Running Back

Jacques Patrick ($4,400 DK)

Running back has been by far the toughest position for me to pick. Teams are taking a running back by committee approach trying to find their top back. For DFS purposes that makes things tough. However, Patrick showed a lot of upside last week. He saw 14 carries and was able to produce 73 yards with them. Tampa Bay has struggled with inconsistent quarterback play and injuries. I expect them to attack the defense with there running backs allowing Patrick to see upwards of 15+ carries.

Wide Receivers

De’Mornay Pierson-El ($10,100 DK)

Pierson-El and Ta’amu have had some good chemistry to start off the season. The first two games they have connected on 13 of 15 targets. As the season continues, they both should continue this chemistry especially this weekend. Like I said earlier the Guardians give up 260 passing yards per game and that leaves plenty of opportunities for Ta’amu to connect with Pierson-El.

Donald Parham ($5,300 DK)

Parham had five receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown last week. That was a good stat line but I expect more from him this week. He got Landry Jones back last week and Jones looked his way all game. Parham ended up with 11 targets. He is still fairly cheap and will be a great value play on this slate.

Defense

Dallas Renegades ($4,200 DK)

The Renegades face off against the Seattle Dragons. Brandon Silvers is the Dragons quarterback and he threw for whopping 91 yards last week. He also has three interceptions on the year. There’s no reason why Dallas shouldn’t be able to accumulate some fantasy points. The Renegades are my favorite defense on this slate. Yes, even with the DC Defenders having scored three touchdowns on the year.

Good luck on this slate and make sure to check your lineups for any last-minute changes. Feel free to check out our other DFS articles throughout the week. Go win that money!
