The New England Patriots have franchise-defining decisions to make this offseason. The biggest one being whether to re-sign quarterback Tom Brady.
Speculation about his status has dominated the sports news cycle.
Even the quarterback’s celebrity friends Ben Affleck and Matt Damon could not get any answers.
Brady’s teammates have been mostly silent about the situation, but Patrick Chung finally weighed in.
“We can’t worry about the things we can’t control,” Chung told NESN. “He can do whatever he wants to make sure his family and his foundation are set. That’s all I’m going to say about that. It’s out of my control.”
Chung is under contract for the 2020 season and will quite possibly be taking the mantle as the unit’s leader with Devin McCourty’s possible departure.
