The Dallas Cowboys always seem to have a quiet offseason until the draft comes. They have not signed many outside free agents, other than Dante Fowler Jr. and James Washington. The Cowboys executive, Stephen Jones said they would be active in free agency after the draft, but have yet to make any additional moves. The draft was full of project picks and good players were traded or cut. However, there is still optimism within the Cowboys organization, as there should be. Let’s take a look at four bold predictions for the Cowboys.

CeeDee Lamb is Top Five in Receiving Yards
Lamb has started to blossom into the number one receiver for Dak Prescott. Now that Amari Cooper is gone, Lamb will take a monster jump in his third season. The Cowboys love to throw the football, and with a two-headed beast at running back, it will take pressure off the passing game. With Cooper gone, Gallup injured, and only Washington as a threat, Lamb will lead the Cowboys in targets and have every opportunity to create top five numbers across the league.
Micah Parsons Leads the NFL in Sacks
Parsons had a monster rookie year, and that’s an understatement. Everyone across the league knows how great of a player Parsons is. He creates mismatches for offensive tackles and forces a nightmare up the middle for quarterbacks. The Cowboys lost Randy Gregory in free agency and will need more out of Parsons in the pass rush attack. Parsons had 13 sacks in 2021 and will have at least 15 in 2022. He is faster, stronger, and more confident heading into his second season.
Ezekiel Elliott has Over 1,300 Rushing Yards
Elliott has seen his numbers diminish over the past few seasons, but he is in for a big year. Having Pollard in there to take pressure off of him will allow him to regain form. Elliott was on target to have a big year last season until the knee injury, which he played through. Elliott will regain form this season, with a new-look offensive line and once again prove he’s a top back in this league. He has not seen a 1,300-yard season since 2019, but that will change this season.
Dak Prescott Wins the MVP Award
The Cowboys have been blessed with Prescott over the past few seasons. Subtracting the injury, Prescott has put up very good numbers. In that season alone, he was on pace to win the award until the injury happened against the New York Giants. Since then, he has regained form and will once again be in the race to win MVP. Losing Cooper hurts Prescott, but bringing back Dalton Schultz and adding Washington and Jalen Tolbert will go a long way in helping him. Prescott will throw for 35 plus touchdowns and get back to running the ball every once and a while this upcoming season.
