Defense (10/30)

Defense is Todd’s biggest concern. He is not a very strong player, so he can struggle at times when guarding players in the paint. In addition, Todd is not great when moving laterally so quicker players can get by him. He will be very limited defensively at the next level if he can not add strength.

Finishing (8.5/10)

Todd is a good finisher. He can finish in transition well and dunk the ball, too. While he does occasionally struggle to finish through contact due to his lack of strength, there is a lot of potential for him as a finisher if he becomes stronger.

Perimeter Shooting (8.5/10)

Todd is a solid shooter. He can shoot off movement or in catch-and-shoot scenarios. Todd’s high release point allows him to shoot over defenders and not worry about light contests. He shot the three-ball at a 36.2 percent clip in the G League.

Ball Handling (2/10)

Todd is average with the ball in his hands. He can lose it in traffic and does not have a diverse skill set he can use to create space because of his handle. Todd often drives in a straight line to the rim and is not a crafty ball-handler.

Passing (6/10)

Todd is a decent passer. He is good at keeping the ball moving and not holding on to it for too long. He missed a couple of simple passes, but most of the time he was solid in terms of moving the ball.

Rebounding (9/10)

Todd is a talented rebounder due to good positioning. Despite his lack of strength, he positions himself well to box out and grab rebounds. As with most traits, if Todd can improve his strength, his rebounding ability will become much better.

Athleticism (8/10)

Todd is a good athlete. He is a fluid player that can accelerate toward the rim. While he lacks some and physicality, he is above-average from an athletic perspective.

Injury (10/10)

Todd played in all 15 of the Ignite’s games last season. There are no injury concerns with him.

Bonus: Potential (+4/5)

Todd is a good shooter and finisher with solid athleticism. If he adds strength, his defense can improve. There is a high ceiling in place for the 19-year-old. He has the potential to become a high-level scoring forward, but his lack of defensive versatility hurts his upside.

Player Summary

Todd is an intriguing late first- or early second-round prospect for teams. He is a good shooter at the forward position with above-average athleticism. Todd can move the ball around the court well and understands positioning. His poor defense hurts his upside, but his offensive potential will have teams targeting him in the draft.

Final Grade (66.0/100): Early second-round pick
