Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2019 Season Recap

Entering the 2019 season the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had hopes of making the playoffs. In reality, they were never playoff contenders. The season was highlighted by three things. One, Jameis Winston because the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for 30 plus touchdowns and 30 plus interceptions. Ironically, the Buccaneers’ season ended in overtime against the Atlanta Falcons on a pick-six that gave Winston his 30th interception of the season. Two, Chris Godwin’s breakout season. Despite missing 2.5 games because of a hamstring injury, Godwin finished third in the league with 1,333 receiving yards. The duo of him and Mike Evans might be the best in the league. Three, Shaquil Barrett had a breakout season, leading the league with 19.5 sacks. Entering the season he had 14 career sacks.

Cincinnati Bengals 2019 Season Recap

The Bengals were the ultimate wild card in a changing AFC North during the offseason. While Cleveland had all of the media talking about them, Pittsburgh was without two of their star offensive playmakers, and Baltimore lost key starters on defense, Cincinnati was the ultimate dark horse in the division. That was before the injuries ended Jonah Williams and A.J. Green’s season before they started. The Cincinnati Bengals were a complete disaster going 2-14, including an 0-11 start.

Premier League Winter Update

The English Premier League may be the most competitive of the top European leagues with multiple top tier clubs in play. In the last decade, we have seen four different clubs win the league title with Manchester City doing so the most with four titles including winning the Premier League the last two seasons. We may only be at the halfway mark but it seems like, barring any freakish losing streak, the top spot in the Premier League ha already been locked up. Let’s see what the table looks like and who is contending for the rest of the cup qualifying positions.

Detroit Lions 2019 Season Recap

The Detroit Lions started the season off with plenty of promise, starting out the season 2-1-1. That one loss being a 34-30 nail biter against the Kansas City Chiefs, in which Matthew Stafford would put together a touchdown drive to push Detroit ahead with two minutes to left. Chiefs running back Darrell Williams would take back the lead for the last time, with 23 seconds left to spare.

HEAT vs Pacers reaction

No late-game theatrics in this one. The Miami Heat were in control from start to finish. Fueled by their poor performance in their last road game, Miami was on a mission to make a statement on Wednesday. And they did it by defeating the Indiana Pacers 122-108. With the Boston Celtics loss to the San Antonio Spurs, the Heat are now second in the East standings.
