Heads up, horse racing fans, and start picking your bets for the upcoming Breeders’ Cup 2020! Thirty-seven years in the track, yet people are still on for the annual run of the Grade 1 Thoroughbred horse racing event. For this year’s match, horse racing fans and bettors are thrilled to witness TVG’s picks among the horses that will contend for victory on November 6 and 7, 2020.
The Breeders’ Cup World Championship will hold the Longines Classic as the highpoint of the two-day event. In this segment, candidates will run on a one ¼ mile track to win the $6 million prizes and own the Breeders’ Cup trophy.
Without further ado, here are the Longines Classic runners’ highlights from their previous races.
Improbable
A trusted horse when it comes to stake running, Improbable is trained by the multi-awarded trainer Bob Baffert. This explains why Improbable won three straight stakes in just the past nine months. Those three wins are the 2020 Hollywood Gold Cup Stakes, 2020 Whitney Stakes, and 2020 Awesome Again Stakes, which are all counted as major wins since he started his career.
Toms’ d’Etat
With his four flexed legs, Tom’s d’Etat immediately overtakes the other colts midway during the 2020 Stephen Foster (G2). He took four straight victories after joining forces with his trainer and rider. Currently, he set a record of six wins, with six in stakes and total earnings of over $1.6 million.
Maximum Security
In the field of racing, there’s no doubt that Maximum Security is incredibly competent in leaping. Recently, Maximum Security was hailed as the 2020 TVG Pacific Classic champion. After the Pacific Classic race, he made a swift 1:47.60 at Del Mar and won for the fourth time.
Tiz the Law
Tiz the Law made history when he won the Belmont Stakes (G1) this year, as he was the first New York-bred horse to win it since 1882. A month later, his trainer chose him to run for 2020 Runhappy Travers, where he also won first place. Another two straight wins followed this victory. This year, Tiz the Law is on his way for the upcoming Breeders’ Cup, ready to embark into another intense race.
Authentic
Because of this year’s Kentucky Derby, Authentic’s record added one more victory. Now, this impeccable horse has five wins. During the Derby, Authentic kept Tiz the Law from winning first place by overtaking him during the race. To ensure his position in the Breeders’ Cup, Authentic magnificently won in the TVG.com Haskell Stakes.
By My Standards
After training hard with W. Calhoun, By My Standards is finally kicking his rail off at the Breeders’ Cup 2020. His recent race was the Alysheba Stakes (G2) during the Kentucky Derby Festival, where he completely overhauled other colts by speeding up his last drift during the race. By My Standards also surprised his fans by winning three consecutive races just this year.
Swiss Skydiver
Labeled as the versatile horse, Swiss Skydiver instantly secured a spot for the upcoming Breeders’ Cup after winning the 2020 Alabama Stakes and the 2020 Preakness Stakes. With an eagerness to shape Swiss Skydiver’s skill more, her trainer set her up to race with twelve males. Despite her trainer’s sickness, Kenneth McPeek still roots for his speedy colt to win her upcoming races.
Global Campaign
This 4-year-old horse already celebrated six times for his six wins. He started his career when he was 3 years old. And what a rambunctious 3-year-old he was. Claimed by his trainer Stanley M. Hough, he sped his way through the Breeders’ Cup 2020 and joined Saratoga’s Woodward Handicap (G1), where he successfully won.
Tacitus
This year, Tacitus was running gracefully to meet the opportunities coming his way from sitting in fifth place to now competing in one of the world’s most popular horse race. After earning points in his previous match, Tacitus finally reaped what he sowed, saving a rail for himself on the Breeders’ Cup 2020.
Code of Honor
As the Breeders’ Cup approaches, Code of Honor takes his time today to prepare for another appearance. As his trainer describes it, the chestnut-bred colt is more potent this time. His most recent match was the Kelso Handicap, where he placed second in the ranking.
Midcourt
After having four shows and joining various races, Midcourt now has five wins and a ranking in the top 3. Recently, Midcourt has been making noise after he surprised the bettors with his unbeatable sprint. Together with his trainer and jockey, they will run through the Breeders’ Cup with confidence and power.
Art Collector
He is one of the 3-year-old horses to join the Breeders’ Cup. After a few skill-enhancing matches from this year, he is now good to go. Although he was left behind in earning stake points this year, Art Collector will surely try to dominate the upcoming race next month.
Takeaway
As the new season opens opportunities for the horse racing enthusiasts, these contenders will provide a good show for everyone this year. The Longines Classic is full of talented horses that fans and experts both know and love. So, don’t miss out by tuning in on the latest news and updates about these horses.
