Player Spotlight: Montrezl Harrell

Going from being a bench warmer for the Rockets, to being one of the most important players for the Clippers.

Montrezl Dashay Harrell was born in Tarboro, North Carolina. He attended North Edgecombe High School, where he was the star player. After high school, he was prepping for a year at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Virginia. He led that team to a 38-1 record, averaging 25.2 points and 13.6 rebounds per game.

The Braves Need to Sign Craig Kimbrel ASAP

The Braves bullpen is in desperate need of help, holding a 5.17 ERA, allowing almost six walks per nine, and allowing a .297 batting average on balls in play (BABIP) in 62.2 innings pitched this season. The Braves have also lost their closer, Arodys Vizcaino, to season-ending shoulder surgery, which opens the door even more for them to look internally and externally for improvements on the bullpen. What’s an external option, you might ask? Well, it couldn’t be the guy who saved 42 games last year while pitching to a 2.74 and striking out 96 at the age of 30, could it? No way that guy is still a free agent, right? Someone had to have signed him by now, three weeks into the regular season. Well no one has, and Craig Kimbrel is still a free agent, and now is the perfect time for him to return to the team he started with and won the Rookie of the Year with.

Stream Machine: April 19-21

After some time away to reconfigure the Stream Machine for in-season matchup data (as well as taking some time off for personal reasons), I’m ready to roll out some new streaming options for the weekend matchups. As I promised earlier, I will do a check in at the end of the month in order to show the kind of stats you can get from your streaming starters. It’s important to remember that this is a season-long project, and early season streaming options are hard to figure out, as we don’t have a representative sample of in-season data until later on.
