Houston Texans Season Review: The Future is Bright

The 2017 season was looking so bright as rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson was setting the league on fire. Then a torn ACL in practice ended his season and the Houston Texans went on to win just one of their last nine games, but with a healthy Watson, the 2018 season had high hopes. However, the season started off very ugly. The Texans started the season 0-3 including with loses to the Tennessee Titans and New York Giants. Facing the Indianapolis Colts in week four, the Texans’ season flip 180 degrees within one snap.

Los Angeles Chargers Season Recap

The Los Angeles Chargers finished last season with a 12-4 record. Injuries caught up to the Chargers yet again, Jason Verrett and Hunter Henry were both out during the regular season. Denzel Perryman went down mid-season, Brandon Mebane had terrible news. His newborn child passed away, which forced him to miss a few games, and that was completely understandable. But, the Chargers were able to find the next man up every time. Derwin James can easily be a franchise player; Chargers have great young talent to build on, including veterans who can lead them to a possible Super Bowl run, led by Philip Rivers.

In a matter of 24 hours, LeBron James has passed Michael Jordan on the NBA’s all-time scoring list and reportedly was given a minutes restriction by the Los Angeles Lakers, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports. The report also indicates LeBron “likely won’t play back-to-backs.”
