It has not been that long since the San Jose Sharks were the team deemed as busted “not going anywhere” type. The Sharks in the new season needed to put a few things together and it finally seems like San Jose is hitting its stride. Currently, the Sharks find themselves on a 7-game winning streak after taking down one of the hottest team in the NHL, the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Welcome back DFSers, we’ve reached the mid part of the week. Today’s NHL schedule is comprised of five total games, three of which will be broken down here. Colorado/Ottawa, Buffalo/Calgary, and San Jose/Arizona.
The day that I’m writing this marks the one-year anniversary of the Minneapolis Miracle. When the Vikings defeated the Saints in the NFC Divisional Round on a circus catch and score by Stefon Diggs.
I was reading my timeline of that day and I saw everyone proclaim this as one of the greatest moment in sports history. Is it though? This sparked this idea, to give my top five moments in sports history.
We have the first big deal of this calendar year. Yesterday, the Anaheim Ducks, currently on an 11-game losing skid, swapped forwards with the Dallas Stars. Andrew Cogliano is headed to Dallas and Devin Shore has headed the other direction to California. The deal is a one-for-one (sorry if you are an Oilers fan reading this and we brought you bad memories with that quote).
As February’s NBA trade deadline nears, fans are already speculating about where players will end up. With half the season gone, these potential moves could make or break a team’s chance in the NBA playoffs or provide salary cap relief for future flexibility. That said, I’ve compiled a small list of players who could be on the move soon.
Miami’s season started off great out of the gate, and we’re looking good at 3-0. Led by a finally healthy Ryan Tannehill, who hadn’t played since 2016. The bubble was swiftly burst as back-to-back losses followed, which included a blowout loss to the New England Patriots in week 4, and then just a week later Tannehill picked up a shoulder injury late in week 5 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Brock Osweiler would fill in for five games, going 2-3.
D’Angelo Russell was drafted in 2015 by the Los Angeles Lakers as the 2nd overall pick in the draft. Russell came into the league with high hopes of being the next star point guard for the Lakers. He had the capability of being the next star point guard for the Lakers too, but his stint with the Lakers, unfortunately, didn’t last long.
