In this season thus far, Dallas and Washington have been unsuccessful, as has the whole NFC East. The Cowboys this week are playing for a third win, to add to their 2-4 record. Meanwhile, Washington is looking to put their foot back into the door for the division, and add to their 1-5 record. Both quarterbacks in this game are coming off absolutely dismal performances, so anything that steps up their Week 6 disappearing act would be a push in the right way.
Dallas Cowboys
There’s a lot to say about the Cowboys for this game. The obvious storyline for the rest of their season will be the absence of QB Dak Prescott, who despite not playing in Week 6, still leads the league in passing yards. Replacing Dak at QB was the former Bengals QB, Andy Dalton. He played poorly, throwing for 266 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in an ugly loss to the Arizona Cardinals. The whole team performed poorly in fact. RB Ezekiel Elliott got bottled up for 49 yards on 12 carries and no touchdowns while fumbling the ball twice.
All in all, the game was a horrible performance for the Cowboys, and that brings the entire storyline into this game. Is this team capable of bouncing back against the lowly Washington Football Team? Their key to victory will be to control the time of possession and the flow of tempo. This will allow Dalton to settle down and Zeke to get his flow of carries throughout the game instead of trying to dominate on the ground immediately. The Cowboys defense will naturally be able to cover the Football Team’s ghastly offense, so they will be able to assert their will upon them as long as they take them seriously. So far this year, the Dallas defense has allowed 26.3 points per game, while giving up 410 yards of total offense per game. This game is key for the ‘Boys to bounce back and regain full control of the NFC East.
Washington Football Team
The Washington Football Team thus far this year has been about on par with what was expected of them. Kyle Allen and Dwayne Haskins have combined this year at the QB position to put up not so great numbers. On the ground, Antonio Gibson has led the way with 243 rushing yards and three touchdowns. The storyline surrounding the Football Team coming into this game is just win this game and get back into the division race. If they lose this game, they’re pretty much out of the division race the way the season has been going for them. They need their defense which has been allowing 27 points per game this year to step up and put pressure on Andy Dalton. A healthy dose of blitzing should do the trick.

In this game, I would definitely take under, as these two teams struggled offensively last week and are likely to engage in a defensive sided game. The only way I see these two teams getting 46 points is the Cowboys winning big.
Prediction
In this game, Dallas should be able to easily assert their dominance over a weak and feeble Washington Football Team. Dallas should win easily in this game. Andy Dalton will have a mediocre performance, while the defense shows out and finally puts up a respectable performance.
Final Score: Dallas 27, Washington 10
