Week seven fantasy streamers are here! The four teams on bye this week are the Browns, Buccaneers, Panthers, and Steelers. Here are some options you can use to replace players at quarterback, tight end, defense/special teams, and kicker.
The rostered percentages I present in this are pulled from ESPN Fantasy.
QB – Matthew Stafford– 49.6% Rostered
Stafford has been producing great numbers this season without having high expectations for this season. The second-year breakout from Kerryon Johnson and a serviceable receiving corps has opened up the offense tremendously. While I don’t exactly love going up against the Vikings, Minnesota’s defense hasn’t been what most people expected.
QB – Kirk Cousins – 26.4%Rostered
If you took my advice last week and played Cousins, congratulations, he scored 27 fantasy points. He torched the Eagles with over 300 passing yards for a second straight week and four touchdowns. Being able to finally connect with Stefon Diggs only helps his outlook going forward.
QB – Jimmy Garoppolo– 25.6% Rostered
Jimmy G. has played fairly sloppy this season with only a 7:5 TD:INT ratio and a turnover in four out of five games. However, he’s lead the 49ers to a 5-0 start and has a generously favorable matchup with theRedskins and should score over 20 fantasy points this week.
TE – Chris Herndon – 17.8%Rostered
Herndon immediately suffered a hamstring injury following the completion of his suspension. Now that Sam Darnold is back and has rejuvenated the offense, however, expect him to play a significant role if he is able to play.
TE – Dawson Knox – 2.9% Rostered
The rookie tight end has filled in nicely for the Bills so far. His stats are mediocre at best, but he seems talented to the naked eye. He is seeing an increase in snaps, and I’m looking for an increase in targets from Josh Allen as well.
TE – Darren Fells – 2.4%Rostered
Fells received both a season-high six catches and snap count. His production fluctuates on a weekly basis but his usage as a red-zone target is significant. He’s still viewed as touchdown-dependent, but it was nice to see him accumulate 10 fantasy points without finding the end zone last week.
D/ST – Green BayPackers – 37.6% Rostered
The Packers defense started out the season with a bang averaging 11.5 fantasy points. Mike Pettine’s unit seemed to be revamped only for them to come back down to earth. However, the matchup is right this week against Derek Carr, who has only surpassed 250 yards once this year.
D/ST – SeattleSeahawks – 34.9% Rostered
The Seahawks defense hasn’t put up great fantasy numbers, but they do average six a game. I still like this unit’s takeaway potential every week, but they should only be considered an average play against the Ravens.
D/ST – Kansas CityChiefs – 15.1% Rostered
Yes, I’m aware this unit is among one of the worsts in the league, but give me the matchup against Joe Flacco any day. He has two games without a touchdown and seven turnovers over the first six weeks. There’s also the potential for a special team touchdown with the return of Tyreek Hill.
K – Josh Lambo – 30.8% Rostered
Lambo has continued his perfect kicking accuracy, nailing two more field goals. He still scored six fantasy points even with the train wreck offense last week. The Jaguars are primed to get back on track against a porous Bengals defense.
