The Arizona Cardinals (2-2) are headed to the east coast to take on the New York Jets (0-4). These teams are both coming off a loss in Week 4; however, they are not heading in the same direction. The Cardinals have dropped two games that they should have won, while the Jets look to be in tank mode for the 2020 season.
Cardinals
Arizona looked to be on fire after victories in the first two weeks of the season. Quarterback Kyler Murray was using his dual-threat ability to torch opposing defenses, and the defense looked adequate. It has been the Murray and DeAndre Hopkins show through the first couple of weeks, as Murray leads the team in both passing and rushing yards while Hopkins is first in targets, receptions, and receiving yards with 397. However, because of overconfidence or just some bad throws, Murray has gotten a little careless with the football these past two weeks. The Detroit Lions and Carolina Panthers alike took advantage and forced 57 points combined on the Cardinals defense.
The Cardinals defense, Like Murray, has flipped over the past couple of weeks. Safety Budda Baker did miss the Cardinals game against the Panthers due to a thumb injury. Hopefully, his return will spark some life back into a defense that struggled against a middle of the road offense in Carolina. Chandler Jones will look to continue his dominance against the Jets, who has six sacks in his seven games against them, while fellow linebacker Jordan Hicks will look to build off an impressive 12 tackle game last week.
Jets
For the Jets, it has been a rough season, to put it lightly. It has been disappointing loss after disappointing loss as teams are currently outscoring them 131-65. Additionally, 28 of those 65 points came in their loss last Thursday to the Denver Broncos. Backup quarterback Joe Flacco will be starting this week while Sam Darnold deals with a shoulder injury that may see him sidelined for multiple weeks. Furthermore, running back Le’Veon Bell and rookie wideout Denzel Mims are currently sitting on the Injured Reserve. At the same time, Breshad Perriman is currently listed as questionable.
On the opposite side of the ball, the secondary was able to force several turnovers last week against the Broncos but currently sit 30th in points allowed on the season. This inconsistency on defense has been one of the several downfalls for the Jets this season as they rank 25th in sacks and 20th in pressures this season. The inability to get after the quarterback consistently or slow down the opposing team’s run game will allow Murray to throw and run all over them this week.

Over/Under: O 47.5 (-110)|U 47.5 (-110)
This will not be a close game, so bettors should easily take Arizona -7 in this one. The Jets offense will not be able to keep up even against an average Cardinals defense. Arizona, on the other hand, is going to run away with this one.
As mentioned, the Cardinals should run away in this one, and the over/under is sitting right about where these teams should wind up. Bettors should feel comfortable taking the over simply because Arizona will tack on many points in this one. The Jets also won’t be completely shut out by the Cardinals giving this one a solid chance to reach 50 points.
Prediction
While some may be down on the Cardinals after two disappointing losses, Murray and this offense will bounce back, and due to a pedestrian Jets offense, the defense won’t have to be superman this week. Arizona runs away with this one late and wins by a comfortable margin.
Final Score: Arizona 31, New York 17
