Vince Carter Joins ESPN for a Full-Time Role

Vince Carter Joins ESPN

After 22 seasons in the NBA, Vince Carter won’t get to enjoy retirement for very long as he now begins his newest venture as a full-time analyst with ESPN.

Carter, 43, is just coming off his record-setting 22nd season in the NBA as he passed Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Garnett, Robert Parish, and Kevin Willis for most seasons played all-time. Unfortunately, his season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic that shut the NBA.

This new TV role won’t be completely new for VC. He has made several guest appearances on TNT and ESPN previously. His style, as he told the New York Post in an interview before the season, is he wants to “explain the game where you are watching it and say: ah that makes sense.”

His role for ESPN is currently unknown. It’s more than likely to include frequent appearances on the network’s morning lineup of shows including “Get Up” and “First Take” as well as a part of the main NBA Countdown crew featuring multiple former players as well. Hopefully, he can bring some more Vinsanity to an ESPN lineup with plenty of talented NBA analysts.
