This morning, the NFL announced that Kansas City Chiefs Wide Receiver Tyreek Hill did not receive a suspension for allegedly breaking his son’s arm.
A few months ago an audio recording was leaked to KCTV5 featuring Hill and his fiancee Crystal Espinal discussing the matter in which they discipline their son. In the recording, Espinal says that their son repeatedly said: “Daddy did it.”
In this recording, Espinal also states that whenever their three-year-old son begins to cry, Hill makes him open his arms and punches him in the chest. If he gets in trouble, then the belt comes out.
Hill is also a repeat offender, which is why so many people are placing blame on him for this situation. In 2014, Hill was arrested for Domestic Assault and Battery on Espinal, when she was eight weeks pregnant with their son.

The star received no suspension and no fine for this alleged incident. He is eligible to return to team activities at the start of training camp.
Tyreek Hill took to Twitter to release his official statement about the NFL’s decision.

The Kansas City Chiefs are also interested in extending Hill’s contract, according to a Bleacher Report article.
The Chiefs now know that they will have their star receiver barring any other events, and are actively looking to extend his contract. According to Yahoo’s Terez A. Paylor, “both sides need to work through some things & there are questions that need to be answered as it relates to his personal life going forward.”
Many NFL fans are outraged by the decision to not suspend Hill. Others believe that the Kansas City star is not being disciplined correctly and are particularly outraged because of suspensions other players have received in the past regarding lesser offenses.
Hill will rejoin the Chiefs next week when training camp begins.
