Tyler Mahle only has 214.2 innings of major league service on his resume, but he is currently experiencing a career high in strikeout rate (24.4%) and a career low walk rate (5.8%).
While his bloated 4.35 ERA is nothing to write home about, he is currently pitching to his peripherals (4.35 ERA 4.38 FIP 3.82 xFIP) and the underlying stats may indicate he is getting a bit unlucky.
