Week 1 is officially in the books! Was your team able to stave off the injury bug? Whether you need an injury replacement or want an upgrade over your current player, here is a list of streamers with favorable matchups in Week 2. The following players are owned in less than 50% of Yahoo Leagues. Let’s dive in!
Ryan Tannehill, QB, Tennessee Titans
Over the nine games he started last season, Tannehill completed 70% of his passes while throwing 20 touchdowns versus just five interceptions. He finished just outside the Top 20 at the quarterback position, despite only playing in 10 games. He has sneaky athleticism, which allows him to pick up first downs with his legs. He rushed for four touchdowns last season. This week, he faces the Jacksonville Jaguars at home. Tannehill is a top-15 play at the position this week.
Kirk Cousins, QB, Minnesota Vikings
Cousins benefited from garbage time last week, racking up 259 yards on 25 attempts with two touchdowns and a pick. Both of his touchdowns came in the fourth quarter. He also added 34 yards rushing. Even though Minnesota is a run-first team, Cousins should get plenty of opportunities to throw early and often this week in Indianapolis. His floor remains high as long as Dalvin Cook and Adam Thielen are both healthy.
Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Carolina Panthers
Bridgewater had a solid Panthers debut in Week 1, throwing for 270 yards and a score. He also added 26 yards on the ground. Despite suspect arm strength, Bridgewater boasts a supremely talented receiving corps that can take any short-to-intermediate throw into a big gain. Bridgewater should find himself in a lot of shootouts this season, thanks to an awful Carolina defense. He’s a high-end QB2 play this week.
Jack Doyle, TE, Indianapolis Colts
Doyle is coming off a decent Week 1 where he caught three passes on four targets for 49 yards. Those stats aren’t flashy, but Doyle is one of the most consistent low-end options at a scarce position. Last season, he had 10 games where he had at LEAST three catches. What he lacks in upside, he makes up for with consistency. You won’t find many tight ends available in over 70 percent of Yahoo Leagues that can consistently give you 50-plus yards on three-plus catches.
O.J. Howard, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Howard reeled in four catches on six targets for 36 yards and a touchdown in Week 1. He DOUBLED Rob Gronkowski‘s output in both targets and receptions. With Mike Evans and Chris Godwin taking up most of the opposing defense’s coverage, Howard should find himself open more often than not. The talented 25-year-old should be a valuable target for Tom Brady in the red zone against a beatable Carolina defense.
Logan Thomas, TE, Washington Football Team
Thomas saw a whopping eight targets last week in Sunday’s win over the Philadelphia Eagles. He turned those targets into four catches for 37 yards and a touchdown. He may not rack up a ton of yards in Washington’s conservative offense, but Thomas should be a PPR asset all season. He gets a juicy matchup this week against an Arizona Cardinals team that gave up the most yards and touchdowns to opposing tight ends in 2019. He’s available in 98 percent of Yahoo Leagues.
Seattle Seahawks, DST
Seattle returns home to face a Cam Newton led New England Patriots team. Newton relied heavily on his legs last week against Miami carrying the ball 15 times for 75 yards, but he won’t be able to get away with that this week in Seattle. Jamal Adams amassed 12 tackles and a sack last week, so expect a similar performance this week. Seattle is a top-10 DST this week.
Tennessee Titans, DST
Tennessee will host Gardner Minshew and the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2. Despite Minshew’s success, Jacksonville allowed four sacks to the Indianapolis Colts last week. Expect Jadeveon Clowney and company to rack up sacks while limiting the Jaguars’ red zone trips.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers, DST
After allowing 28 points to the New Orleans Saints last week, Tampa Bay gets a much easier matchup at home against the Carolina Panthers. Last season’s sack leader Shaquil Barrett should have an easier time getting to the quarterback this week. Expect the Buccaneers DST to bounce back against an average Panthers’ offense.
Jason Myers, K, Seattle Seahawks
Any kicker on an offense led by Russell Wilson at home deserves your attention. Myers is a top-10 kicking option this week.
Chris Boswell, K, Pittsburgh Steelers
Boswell should have plenty of opportunities to score at home with a healthy Ben Roethlisberger.
