Week 12 is almost in the books! Were your teams able to stave off the injury bug? Whether you need an injury replacement or want an upgrade over your current starter, here is a list of streamers with favorable matchups in Week 13.
The following players are owned in less than 50 percent of Yahoo Leagues.
Kirk Cousins, QB, Minnesota Vikings
Cousins makes this list for the second week in a row. He had an excellent game against the Carolina Panthers last week going 34-45 for 307 yards and three touchdowns, and that was without wide receiver Adam Thielen. This week, Cousins faces a Jacksonville Jaguars defense that is allowing the third-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Cousins is a top-12 option this week, with or without Thielen.
Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB, Miami Dolphins
Fitzpatrick started for the injured Tua Tagovailoa (thumb) and threw for 257 yards and two scores while leading the Dolphins to their eighth victory against the New York Jets. Tagovailoa’s status is unclear for this Sunday, but if he misses again, Fitzpatrick will be a viable streaming option. The Dolphins face a Cincinnati Bengals defense who is allowing the 12th most fantasy points to quarterbacks. If Tagovailoa sits this week, Fitzpatrick will be a top-15 option.
Philip Rivers, QB, Indianapolis Colts
Over the past three games, Rivers has quietly thrown the fifth-most passing yards in the NFL, averaging 285.7 per game. He’s also thrown six touchdowns over that span. This week, he goes up against a Houston Texans defense that has allowed 660 passing yards over the past two games. With Deshaun Watson dominating over the past two weeks, Rivers should throw a ton to keep up this week. He boasts a top-20 floor.
Jordan Reed, TE, San Francisco 49ers
Reed disappointed last week, only catching two of his six targets for 18 yards. It was a difficult matchup going up against a Los Angeles Rams defense who had been stingy against opposing tight ends. This week, Reed should bounce back against a Buffalo Bills defense giving up the third-most fantasy points to tight ends this season.
Logan Thomas, TE, Washington Football Team
Thomas bounced back after a rough Week 11 to catch all four of his targets for 20 yards and a score. He’s averaging 5.5 targets on the season and has never seen fewer than four targets in any game. This week, he has a tough matchup against a Pittsburgh Steelers team giving up the fewest fantasy points to tight ends. Despite the tough matchup, Thomas should get plenty of looks from Alex Smith in a potentially negative game script.
Trey Burton, TE, Indianapolis Colts
Burton has been on a roll lately, totaling 11 targets for 67 yards and two scores over his past two games. He’s also been leading the team’s tight ends in targets over that span. Burton should see another four to six targets in a potential shootout against the Texans.
Las Vegas Raiders, DST
The Raiders have a juicy matchup this week going up against a Sam Darnold led New York Jets team giving up the most fantasy points to defenses this season. Any defense going up against the Jets has a top-five floor.
Minnesota Vikings, DST
The Vikings aren’t the same tenacious defense we saw last season, but they’ve been playing better of late. Over the past four games, the Vikings’ defense is averaging seven-plus fantasy points per game. This week, they face a Jaguars offense that is giving up the ninth-most fantasy points to defenses. The Vikings are a high-floor play this week.
Tennessee Titans, DST
The Titans are coming off a strong performance in Week 12, racking up 10 fantasy points in Indianapolis. This week, they host a Baker Mayfield led Cleveland Browns teams who had been struggling mightily before putting up a decent game against a hapless Jaguars defense. The Titans have a top-15 floor at home this week.
Tyler Bass, K, Buffalo Bills
Bass is averaging 9.4 fantasy points per game this season, which ranks fifth amongst all kickers. He’s been on fire over the last three games, averaging 14.3 fantasy points. This week, the Buffalo Bills face a San Francisco 49ers team who has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to kickers this season. Bass is a top-five option this week.
Zane Gonzalez, K, Arizona Cardinals
Gonzalez has been dominant at home this season, averaging 11.2 fantasy points in five games. Expect Kyler Murray to lead the Cardinals’ offense to multiple red-zone trips, giving Gonzalez plenty of scoring opportunities.
