Over the past 20 years, there have been several great wide receivers on the New England Patriots’ roster.
Here are five receivers who made the biggest impact while with the Patriots.
No. 5: Danny Amendola
Amendola signed with the Patriots in 2013 and stayed with the team for five years.
In his career with the Patriots, Amendola played a total of 69 games, catching 230 passes for 2,383 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also played a total of 13 playoff games with the Patriots. In his postseason career with the team, he made 57 receptions for 709 yards and six touchdowns.
Amendola has been selected to a Pro Bowl, named a First-Team All-Pro, and is a two-time Super Bowl champion.
No. 4: Troy Brown
Brown was drafted by the Patriots in the eighth round of the 1993 NFL Draft with the 198th overall pick.
In his career, Brown played a total of 192 games while posting 557 receptions, 6,366 total yards, and 31 touchdowns. He also played a total of 20 playoff games in which he made 58 receptions for 694 yards and two touchdowns.
Brown is a one-time Pro Bowler and three-time Super Bowl champion.
No. 3: Julian Edelman
Edelman was drafted by the Patriots in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft as the 232nd overall pick.
So far in his career, Edelman has played a total of 131 games with 599 receptions, 6,507 total yards, and 36 touchdowns. He has added 19 playoff games in which he has a record of 13-6 with 118 receptions, 1,442 receiving yards, and five touchdowns.
Edelman is also a three-time Super Bowl champion.
No. 2: Wes Welker
The Patriots landed Welker through a trade with the Dolphins in 2007; he stayed with New England for six years.
Over those six years, he played in 93 games, posting 672 receptions, 7,459 yards, and 37 touchdowns. He also appeared in nine playoff games with the Patriots, hauling in 69 receptions for 686 yards and four touchdowns.
Welker was selected to the Pro Bowl and was a First-Team All-Pro player.
No. 1: Randy Moss
The Patriots landed Randy Moss through a trade with the Oakland Raiders in 2007 and he stayed with the team for three years.
Over those three years with the Patriots, Moss played in 48 games, posting 250 receptions, 3,765 yards, and 47 touchdowns. He also played in four playoff games with the team, notching 12 receptions with 142 total yards and one touchdown.
Randy Moss has been selected to the Pro Bowl, named a First-Team All-Pro, and inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2018.
