College football season is around the corner. To get ready for the season, I will preview the top players returning at key positions.
Let’s explore the top 10 returning wide receivers in college football.

1. Luther Burden, Missouri
Burden is an absolute monster at wide receiver. He can do it all from the wide receiver position. Last year, for a Missouri team that won 10 games, he had 86 catches and nine touchdowns. Beyond the stats, not enough can be said about how he impacts the game. You always have to watch him closely or he will make a big play.
2. Tez Johnson, Oregon
Johnson is a legit wide receiver for Oregon. He had 86 catches and 10 touchdowns last year. He is the type of player that can score anytime he touches the ball. Johnson should have another big year for Oregon.

3. Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona
Arizona had a surprising season last year when they won 10 games. McMillan was one of the reasons why. He exploded onto the season with 90 catches and 10 touchdowns. He was unguardable most of the season. With a new coach in place in Arizona, McMillan is a nice returning player to have.
4. Emeka Egbuka, Ohio State
Emeka Egbuka had a disappointing season for Ohio State because he got hurt last year and never returned to his pre-season form. Most expected him to declare for the NFL Draft last year, but he decided to come back to improve his stock. He now has a chance to be the top wide receiver in college football.
5. Isaiah Bond, Alabama to Texas
Sometimes the numbers don’t tell the entire story. In 2023, Bond only had 48 catches and four touchdowns, but he was still a difference-maker for Alabama. The problem was that Alabama struggled to throw the ball last year. Now, Bond goes to Texas where he will have Quinn Ewers throwing him passes.
6. Caullin Lacy, South Alabama to Louisville
Lacy had an amazing season for South Alabama last year as he caught 91 passes for 1,316 yards and seven touchdowns. He has now transferred to Louisville where there is a massive hole for him to take advantage of. I expect Lacy to have a big year for Louisville.
Caullin Lacy is the best 2025 wide receiver no one is talking about.

Incredibly fun tape. Excited to see him after the transfer to Louisville. pic.twitter.com/HY2qmhwa0P
7. Xavier Restrepo, Miami
Miami had an up-and-down season last year, but Restrepo was one of the bright spots. He had 85 catches and six touchdowns with shaky quarterback play. Now, add a talented quarterback in Cam Ward and he should improve and have an even bigger year.
8. Travis Hunter, Colorado
Hunter is an unbelievable athlete. He played last year as a defensive back and as a wide receiver. I decided to rank him as a wide receiver because he is such a difference-maker at the position. He can do it all at the wide receiver and I expect him to have a big year this season.
9. Evan Stewart, Texas A&M to Oregon
Stewart is a talented player who made a big impact for Texas A&M last year. He has since transferred to Oregon where he and Tez Johnson could create the best one-two punch at the wide receiver position next year.
10. Tre Harris, Ole Miss
Harris was a big-play machine for Ole Miss last year. He only had 54 catches and eight touchdowns but averaged 18 yards per catch. Ole Miss counted on him to make a big impact.
