Top 10 Arena Football Quarterbacks

10. EJ Nemeth

Nemeth had the New York Streets off to a hot start to the season. Following an upset win Week 1 and a dominant performance against the Orlando Predators Week 2, Nemeth had 15 total touchdowns through two weeks.

At this point in the season, he still leads the league in total offense with 242.3 total yards per game. Unfortunately, Nemeth is currently on IR and the Streets have lost four in a row and five of their last six following a 3-1 start.

9. Arvell Nelson

Nelson has led the Valor to what they didn’t have in their first two seasons – a third win. However, he is sixth in the Arena Football League in passing and leads in interceptions. The Valor are also in the final playoff spot.

8. Jesse Scroggins

After taking over for Daryll Clark, Scroggins lead the Carolina Havoc to a better record than they had during their championship season with an 8-1 regular season record. Unfortunately for the Havoc, both of the losses for them came to the Energy, who’s quarterback is next on this list.

7. Steffon Colon

Colon knows what it takes to win a championship. He won the 2017 Can-Am Indoor Football championship with the Vermont Bucks. Now, he is one game away from winning his second title in three years. The next quarterback on our list is looking to lead his team to their second title in three years.

6. Jarrett Brown

The former West Virginia University quarterback has taken a majority of snaps for the Roughriders this season and has helped lead them to an undefeated season. He will now look to get them a win in the AAL championship game.

5. Luke Collis

Collis has been very impressive coming in to replace Mason Espinosa for the Columbus Lions. He currently leads the league in passing completions, yards and touchdowns. The only real problem is that the Lions are sitting at a 3-5 record and are sitting tied for the final playoff spot.

4. Shane Boyd

The surprise of the arena football season has been the Baltimore Brigade. Not many gave Shane Boyd a chance to be successful as a starting quarterback going into the season. He has shut down those doubters.

He has thrown for 32 touchdowns and five interceptions and has the Brigade as the second best team in the Arena Football League. He’s lost his top receiver for the year in Brandon Thompkins, so that could change. But right now, Baltimore is a playoff team, much in part to Boyd’s performance.

3. Charles McCullum

Everyone who watches arena football knows McCullum is a very special talent. He is a great passer and can also make moves with his legs if need be.

He is second in the league in many categories such as passing yards, completions and touchdowns. He is not far behind league leader in any of those categories, either. That and Carolina is comfortably the second best team in the league.

2. Jonathan Bane

He may not lead the league in any passing categories, but Bane does have the Jacksonville Sharks on a seven-game win streak and on top of the National Arena League. Not only that, but in their head-to-head, Bane beat out McCullum. They continue to pull away as the best team in the league, as well.

He is also not far behind in some passing categories, either. Bane is third in passing touchdowns with 32, just four behind McCullum and nine behind Collis, and with better receivers.

1. Tommy Grady

Grady will go down as the Dan Marino of arena football if he doesn’t win ArenaBowl XXXII or any title in his career. As of right now, he has the Albany Empire as the best team in arena football for the second straight year.

They both only have dominated their opponents, but they also showed how powerful they are, overcoming a 34-7 deficit to defeat the Washington Valor last weekend.

Grady also leads the league in passing by over 300 yards and 10 touchdowns over the second leading quarterback in Soul quarterback Dan Raudabaugh.
