Thursday Night Football Week 14 DFS

Brandon Braasch | December 5th, 2019

Tonight’s game is huge for both teams as the Dallas Cowboys head into Chicago to face the Bears. The Bears are in a must-win scenario for the rest of the year while the Cowboys are currently one game up in the division with the Philadelphia Eagles. The chance at a potential playoff berth is on the line in this game. Here are my top players in this matchup.

DraftKings Captain

Javon Wims (4,800 DK Captain, 3,200 DK, and 5,000 FD)

Happy Wimsday everybody. Wims is exactly what you need when looking for a cheap Captain. He played 89% of snaps last week with Taylor Gabriel out. He has been good when he’s gotten playing time. Look for Wims to surprise some people and have his best game as a pro.

FanDuel MVP

Mitchell Trubisky (8,800 DK and 15,000 FD)

Trubisky is starting to find his rhythm. He made some spectacular throws in last week’s game against the Detroit Lions. However, Trubisky’s legs are going to be the difference in this game. The Cowboys have allowed quarterbacks to run this year. Josh Allen ran for 43 yards and one touchdown last week. Jeff Driskel and Daniel Jones ran for over 50 yards and Driskel had one touchdown. Look for Trubisky to use his legs and rack up some fantasy points.

Flex Players

Michael Gallup (8,200 DK and 11,000 FD)

I expect Kyle Fuller to take Amari Cooper out of this game. The best way to attack the Bears defense is at their other cornerbacks. The Lions did just that and Prince Amukamara was exposed last week against Kenny Golladay. Although, Amukamara is doubtful so look for Dak Prescott and Gallup to attack the Bears backup corners.

David Montgomery (7,600 DK and 11,500 FD)

Montgomery has consistently gotten double-digit carries the last six weeks. The Bears are going to look to get Montgomery going again. The Cowboys defense is middle of the pack giving up 106.4 rushing yards per game. Leighton Vander Esch is out again so that should help Monty break out some longer runs.

Dak Prescott (10,800 DK and 15,500 FD)

The Cowboys should struggle to run the football in this game. Prescott is going to have to make some throws to keep them in the game. However, it is going to be tough for Dak to find yards as the Bears only allow 222 passing yards per game. Look for Dak to struggle in the first half but pick it up in the second half.

Game Predictions

The Bears come in winning three of there last four games. The Cowboys come in after losing there last two games. Whichever team can run the football the best, will win this game. I like Montgomery and the Bears to get the run game going and then use that to let Trubisky make some plays. Final score 24-20 Bears win a huge must-win game and look to gain ground in the NFC wild-card race.

Player Predictions

Wims: 88 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Trubisky: 240 passing yards, 58 rushing yards, and two touchdowns.

Gallup: 97 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Montgomery: 96 total yards and one touchdown.

Prescott: 234 passing yards and two touchdowns.
