This week, Thursday Night Football features two teams from the AFC. The New York Jets will head into Indianapolis to face the Colts. Both teams have struggled this season with only five wins and 10 losses between them. The Colts are in need of a win to keep their playoff hopes alive. Let’s take a look at the top DFS players in this game.
DraftKings Captain | FanDuel MVP
Jonathan Taylor (DK 17,400 | FD 16,000)
Taylor is in a smash spot tonight. The Jets defense has allowed 11 rushing touchdowns and two receiving touchdowns to running backs this season. Taylor has scored seven touchdowns this year including at least one in the last five games. With the game being on Thursday night Taylor will have plenty of rest between tonight’s game and their Week 10 game. As long as Frank Reich is smart, which is sometimes debatable, Taylor should see a season-high in carries and have a huge game tonight.
Flex Plays
Indianapolis Colts D/ST (DK 5,000)
Yes, last week Mike White threw for 400 yards passing, and yes they upset the Cincinnati Bengals who were 5-2 at the time. However, White still has thrown four interceptions in the last two games. The Colts defense has also forced at least two interceptions the last three games. The Colts defense will save salary in a flex spot to help afford Taylor as your Captain. It also gives you a good correlation between Taylor and the defense. If the defense is playing well, Taylor should get more carries as they try and kill the clock. Look for the Colts to get some sacks and force some turnovers in tonight’s game.
Elijah Moore (DK 6,200 | FD 8,000)
Moore had his best game of the season last week with White at quarterback. He saw six targets and brought them all in for six catches and 67 yards. If the Jets are playing from behind again, they will be forced to throw more resulting in more targets for Moore. However, keep an eye on Corey Davis‘s status for the game. If he sits out again, Moore should be due for another solid week.
Michael Carter (DK 8,600 | FD 13,000)
Carter had a huge week last week scoring over 27 points on FanDuel and DraftKings. He’s a threat in the rushing and passing attack with White at quarterback. He has seen 23 targets in the last two weeks with White compared to only 15 in the first five weeks with Zach Wilson. If Carter continues to see that volume, he will be among the highest scorers in this game even in a tougher matchup.
