This week on Thursday Night Football is a huge divisional matchup out of the AFC West. This game will have big playoff implications with both teams fighting for the division title. The second-place Los Angeles Chargers will be hosting the first-place Kansas City Chiefs. Whichever team wins this game will likely win the division and have a great shot at the No. 1 overall seed in the AFC playoffs. Without further ado let’s take a look at the top DFS players in this matchup.
DraftKings Captain
Travis Kelce (DK 12,900 | FD 12,500)
Kelce, along with the entire Chiefs offense, has struggled at times this season. Outside of two games against the Las Vegas Raiders, they have only averaged 13.4 points in their last five games. Kelce has also only scored one touchdown since Week 5. However, the Chargers have allowed nine touchdowns to tight ends this season and Kelce is due for a big game. At the Captain spot, he is a bargain for his potential and will help you fit the star quarterbacks in your lineup.
FanDuel MVP
Justin Herbert (DK 10,800 | FD 16,500)
Herbert has been on fire the last four weeks. He has thrown 11 touchdowns and averaged over 300 passing yards in that span. Furthermore, in Week 3 against the Chiefs, he had 281 passing yards and four touchdowns. The Chargers are rolling and Herbert is going to be very tough to stop in this matchup. Look for him to be the highest scorer on the slate.

Flex Plays
Byron Pringle (DK 2,600 | FD 6,500)
After Tyreek Hill and Kelce, it’s anyone’s guess who will be the Chiefs’ next best receiver. With Josh Gordon on the Covid-19 list that’s one less guy to take targets and snaps away from Pringle. Furthermore, Pringle has seen the second-most snaps out of any Chiefs receiver since Week 9. He is also one of the cheaper options on this slate. If this game is a shootout and he can find the end zone, which he has done three times this season, his value will be crucial on this slate.
Patrick Mahomes (DK 12,000 | FD 17,000)
It’s hard not to go with Mahomes and you will most likely need to squeeze both quarterbacks in your lineups to win the big money. The over/under is currently at 52 in this game and there’s a good chance it goes over. The last time Mahomes faced the Chargers he had a couple of interceptions but still threw three touchdowns. Look for Mahomes and Herbert to put on a show in a classic shootout tonight.
