Thursday Night Football Best Bets: Indianapolis Colts vs. Denver Broncos

Broncos Colts Best Bets

If you like football and making money, we’ve got you covered.

Week 5 in the National Football League kicks off (no pun intended) with a good old-fashioned AFC tilt between the Indianapolis Colts (1-2-1) and Denver Broncos (2-2) this evening. With both teams desperate for a win and seeking momentum, this game has all the makings of an absolute dandy.

Without further ado, let’s look at some best bets to kickstart your weekend.

Best Bet No. 1: Broncos Money Line (-175)

This evening’s betting slate starts with a simple and straightforward one: Broncos to win the football game outright. Few would argue against the fact that Denver head coach Nathaniel Hackett has had a tumultuous start to his NFL coaching career. At 2-2, Hackett and the Broncos have been the subject of ridicule with their erratic, unpredictable, and inconsistent play thus far in 2022. In addition, both Indy and Denver have had their fair share of issues with injuries and their collective backfields. It may come down to which veteran quarterback can “steer the ship” in the right direction most efficiently. This game will be a close one, but take the Broncos at home.

Best Bet No. 2: Russell Wilson Anytime Touchdown (+450)

The Broncos have had their fair share of issues rushing the football. Melvin Gordon has four fumbles to his credit and the Denver offense has been forced to use the likes of Mike Boone and Latavius Murray to “divvy up” the carries to supplement Denver’s offensive play-calling. Although it’s early, Wilson may be Hackett’s most viable (and trusted) option for Denver, especially in the red zone. Keep in mind, Wilson has amassed 24 rushing touchdowns during his time in Seattle and Denver combined. A $10 risk to win $45? I certainly like those odds. Add a Wilson anytime touchdown to your betting card, folks.

Best Bet No. 3: Jerry Jeudy Anytime Touchdown (+175)

Our final bet appears in the form of Denver wideout Jerry Jeudy, who has enjoyed a solid start to the 2022 NFL campaign. Just like his quarterback, I think this is an excellent spot for one of football’s most talented and under-the-radar receivers to shine under the bright lights of Thursday Night Football. Playing out of the slot, Jeudy is sure to get some excellent looks and volume against a Colts defense which has been less than stellar through four games. Even more so, Jeudy should shred Colts cornerback Kenny Moore tonight. Target him as early (and fast) as you can.

Gates Top NFL Team From Week 11 (2024)

Week 11 in the NFL brought more chaos, with at least five games on Sunday being decided by a single score. Notably, the Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts won their games by just one point. As a result of their performance, the Buffalo Bills have earned the title of our NFL Team of the Week for the second time this season, having previously received this honor in Week 8.
