The NHL has released the Bruins 2017-2018 schedule, here are the games that stand out.
October 5th 2017: Predators @ Bruins
The Bruins open the regular season by hosting the reigning western conference champions. Boston’s opener will provide a solid test for the Bruins right out of the gate. Nashville has an elite core of defensemen who will be hungry after falling two games short of the Stanley Cup last season. Bs fans will be happy to open the regular season at home.
October 11th 2017: Bruins @ Avalanche
The Bruins first road game will be a trip to Colorado. The Avalanche were among the NHL’s worst last season. This will also be the Bruins second consecutive game against the Avalanche.
October 15th 2017: Bruins @ Golden Knights
This will be the Bruins first game in Las Vegas in franchise history. The NHL recently expanded to 31 teams and the 2017-2018 season will be the Las Vegas Golden Knight’s inaugural season.
November 11th 2017: Bruins @ Maple Leafs
This is the Bruins first game of the season against the rival Maple Leafs. The Leafs have an impressive young core lead by second year star Auston Mathews.
November 24th 2017: Penguins @ Bruins
The Bruins host the two time defending Stanley Cup Champions. The Penguins still have one of the best rosters in the game and will provide a tough challenge for the Bruins early in the season. This game will also provide a great challenge for the Bruins young defense as they try to stop a high powered offense lead by Sidney Crosby.
December 27th 2017: Senators @ Bruins
A rematch between Bruins and Senators who faced off in the first round of the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Senators won that series in six games, winning all three games in Boston. The Bruins look to avenge that playoff loss and defend their home ice.
January 17th 2018: Canadiens @ Bruins
The Bruins bitter rivals come to the Boston for the first time in the 2017-2018 season. This match up will have extra heat to it as it will be Montreal head coach Calude Julian’s first game in Boston since the Bruins fired him last season. Julian spent ten years with the Bruins, winning them a Stanley Cup and brining them to a second Stanley Cup Final.
