Indiana Fever guard Erica Wheeler, who came into the WNBA undrafted in 2015, won the 2019 WNBA All-Star MVP award after her unforgettable performance in last night’s WNBA All-Star game in Las Vegas. Wheeler was selected to play on Team Wilson lead by Las Vegas Aces forward and two-time all-star A’ja Wilson who was unable to play in the game due to injury.

Diana Taurasi made her long-awaited return to hoops Friday night at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut vs the Connecticut Sun. Taurasi, who had been out for the first half of the season with a back injury that required surgery, went through the team’s pre-game shoot around and several other drills at full speed prior to being in the starting lineup for the Mercury. Though the Mercury led the Sun 36-30 at halftime, the Sun came out shooting well. The Sun’s entire starting lineup turned into scoring machines, as all five finished the game in double figures after going on a 17-1 run in the 2nd half.
