One of the most highly anticipated off-seasons in NBA history is in full force. Tonight at 6 p.m. on June 30th is the unofficial official start of NBA free agency. Some mighty large names will be available on the open market to sign for any organization they so desire. Below is a list of names that are free agents and teams who own the most cap space to go wrestling for a player that can join their respective squads.
The Boston Celtics are coming off a great winning week, in which they went 3-0. Gordon Hayward showed some great signs so far on the team’s West coast trip.
The Boston Celtics are coming off a very disappointing week. They went 1-3, they defeated the struggling Washington Wizards and lost to the Houston Rockets, Toronto Raptors and Portland Trailblazers. They are all high-level teams, but they were very disappointing performances from the C’s end.
The final stretch of the season has begun! There is still a lot of basketball to be played this season and the Rookie of the Year race is far from over. Luka Doncic has been at the forefront of that conversation for most of the season but over the last couple of weeks we have seen Marvin Bagley III, and others, come to life.

The All-Star break is finally upon us and the first half (or so) of the season is gone, and there have been several surprise developments that have come this season. To talk about what we saw so far this season, a few of our wordsmiths have come together to talk about it.
So, without further ado, let’s get into it.
Last week’s Rookie Report featured a break-out 30-point performance from Luka Doncic as well as some impressive scoring from Trae Young. We also checked in on the Pacers rookie guard Aaron Holiday and his performance in the wake of Victor Oladipo’s injury.

Here are my four takeaways from the Miami Heat’s 102-96 loss to the Sacramento Kings.
The NBA trade deadline is just around the corner and the rumor machine is on fire. While most teams won’t make a deal, each will consider many options between now and the February 7th deadline. In a six part series, I will provide one trade each NBA team should consider making between now and the trade deadline. The Pacific division is up next and here is a trade each team should make. Be sure to check out the previous parts on the the Northwest division, Southeast division, Central division and Atlantic division.
For anybody who read my DeMarcus Cousins piece on TheScorecrow, available here, they would know that I believe he is not as big of an asset to the Warriors as analysts make him seem. In my debut article, I asserted my idea that Cousins’ Achilles injury may render him almost futile to the Warriors’ organization. With Boogie making his debut for Golden State against the Clippers on January 18 with 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists in 15 minutes, this follow-up piece will substantiate or negate the predictions I previously made about him six months ago.
Back from the dead, the Houston Rockets have won 14 of their last 18 games and are currently the fourth seed in the Western Conference mainly because James Harden is playing like a mad man. During the winning streak, Harden is averaging 40.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, 8.9 assists and 38.4 minutes per game while registering five 30 point triple-doubles. The Rockets have been killed by injuries recently and now rising star center Clint Capela is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a thumb injury.
What a season thus far for Buddy Hield and the entire Sacramento Kings organization. It’s no secret that the Kings are at the top of most people’s list as the surprise team of the NBA as we enter the midway point of the season. The team is having success not many people had anticipated as of right now are .500 at 21-21 and sitting right outside the playoff picture in the 9th spot in the tough western conference.
Did the Los Angeles Lakers make the right decision by drafting Lonzo Ball over De’Aaron Fox? Let’s compare the 2nd and 5th overall picks in the 2017 NBA Draft and see, a year later, who has started his career off better.
