The 2024-25 NBA season is in full swing the MVP race has already begun.

There is something about October that is infused with excitement. Perhaps it is the start of the NBA season informing our brains that the wait is finally over.
Some NBA plays are so iconic that we are forced to label them. “Dunk of the Year,” “Block of the Year,” and “Game-winner of the Year” are among some of the most recognizable superlatives.
The All-Star break is officially over, and we are now headed into the second half of the season. Plenty of teams have impressed us, but several others have left a lot to be desired.
It is still relatively early, but we now know more than we did at the beginning of the season.
Based on all the action we saw from Week 2, we can probably expect Week 3 to be equally action-packed.
Last time we saw a meaningful game, the Denver Nuggets were busy eliminating the Miami Heat.
When the NBA schedule was released, you can bet that players immediately studied the dates carefully, eager to see things like homestands, roadtrips, and other interesting quirks.
