The NBA season is being strongly hit by COVID-19. Canceling games, players being placed in protocols, it will be interesting to see how this affects the rest of the season and the extremes that could happen. COVID is now starting to affect our rookie rankings, placing Evan Mobley, Scottie Barnes, and Cade Cunningham on the COVID reserves list. With a brand new week done around the association, let’s look at some new faces who have performed well.
The first quarter of the NBA season is done. Most teams have already played their 21st game and have 60 plus games to go. So if you find your favorite team in the bottom half of the standings, you can relax because there’s a lot of basketball left to play.
Coming to a close in November, the rookies have established who is going to be on the list going forward. Evan Mobley and Scottie Barnes continue to impress while Detroit’s Cade Cunningham is starting to come into his own.
The road trip started off rough for the Miami Heat, who lost the first three games on the trip. After beating the Utah Jazz on Saturday, the Heat finished off the road trip with a win against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Led by Tyler Herro, the Heat picked up their scoring in the second half and were able to close the deal. With the victory, Miami moves to 9-5 for the season.
Night two of the NBA season provides another opportunity for NBA best bets. After going 2-1 in the season opening double header it is time to keep things rolling.
The Oklahoma City Thunder were terrible in the second half of last year and their fans can expect a full season of it this year.
Darius Bazley’s first two NBA seasons have been rocky at times, but he has the chance to put it all behind him this upcoming season. Oklahoma City Thunder fans have had the opportunity to see Bazley’s flashes of potential over the last two years, but he has not found consistency.
