It’s the same story for the New York Islanders but in a different year. The playoffs are starting, and the team is being doubted by everyone. It also feels more warranted this year. The victory over the Buffalo Sabres gave the Rangers yet another three-game winning streak, keeping playoff hopes alive. However, as the week went on and they faced the New York Islanders for two games, those hopes slowly started to dwindle.
The 2020-21 National Hockey League campaign has brought with it many pleasant surprises. Which players have elevated their games to whole new heights, and which have flown under the radar? Here are my top-three under-the-radar feel-good stories thus far in 2020-21.
We can sit and talk about the glory days of Ottawa Senators hockey all day long. But by doing so, we are not recognizing the current talent displayed by the 2021 Senators.
The New York Rangers’ week was looking great until the games started. They had the misfortune of going up against a playoff contender, a team trying to get to the playoffs, and a team at the bottom of the division.
