There is not a lot to choose from in terms of sheer number of games for tonight’s Monday edition of Weekly Wagers. That said, there are a handful of MLB contests on the docket and a pair of playoff games in both the NHL and NBA.
As they proudly proclaim in The Mighty Ducks trilogy: Quack, Quack, Quack. The Anaheim Ducks are one of a handful of National Hockey League teams currently in a rebuild. Out with the old, and in with the new seems to be the “name of the game” for Ducks general manager Bob Murray.
The Pittsburgh Penguins have won the Stanley Cup three times in the Sidney Crosby-Evgeni Malkin era, which is a lot. The last few years, though, are starting to make Penguins fans wonder if some of their years are being wasted.
The New Jersey Devils said goodbye to a disappointing season, with hope in their hearts for a better one ahead. Lindy Ruff’s first season with the Devils ended with the fourth-worst record in the league.
The 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs has been home to a number of familiar matchups from the past thus far. The same cannot be said for the upcoming second-round series between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Carolina Hurricanes.

The Philadelphia Flyers looked set to roll through the 2020-21 season to the playoffs, especially after making it to Round 2 in the 2019-20 season. However, they finished with a disappointing 25-23-8 record and a sixth-place finish in the East Division.
The Tampa Bay Lightning are one of the most talented teams in the National Hockey League. They’re fast, experienced, well-coached, and “know what it takes” to win in the postseason having lifted Lord Stanley’s mug last summer inside the NHL bubble.
After a few of being simply a below-average team, the Buffalo Sabres returned to being the league laughingstock. With new general manager Kevyn Adams and a big new acquisition in Taylor Hall, the Sabres were absolutely terrible.
Expectations were high for the Dallas Stars after surprising everyone last season with their run to the Stanley Cup Finals. However, the team ran into a Coivid-19 outbreak at the start of the season, and more games ended up being rescheduled due to ice storms.
