Entering the 2019 season, the Cleveland Browns had high hopes and playoff expectations. Some betting spots had the Browns with the fifth-best odds to win the Super Bowl entering the season. However, the team showed to be the same old Browns.
A hot start to the 2019 season winning their first three games amid Super Bowl conversations, quickly spiraled downward after only winning five more games throughout the season, to end yet another depressing season under former head coach, Jason Garrett. While the Dallas Cowboys struggled, so did the entire NFC East, giving hopes that the Cowboys could earn another playoff spot.
The Jacksonville Jaguars made a significant move on Monday by releasing running back Leonard Fournette.
The New York Giants are entering the 2020 season looking to improve on last year. Rookie quarterback Daniel Jones and the offense were the highlights of the 2019 season, but the Giants finished the year 4-12 and missed the playoffs. However, they have high hopes for the 2020 season.
The MLB trade deadline isn’t the only hot topic across the sports industry. As the dog days of summer approach and later conclude, big paydays arrive during NFL training camp. The Houston Texans are the latest team to make a splash towards their roster, this time, on defense. They have reached an agreement with inside linebacker Zach Cunningham to a 4-year, $58 million extension.
After signing former Washington quarterback Kirk Cousins to the first fully guaranteed contract in NFL history, the Minnesota Vikings had Super Bowl expectations in 2018.
