Coming into college football’s seventh week, we approach a rather dull slate compared to last week. That doesn’t mean we don’t have a healthy amount of prospects to look after, so let’s get right into our five guys to watch across the nation this weekend.
While many have improved their draft stock this season, maybe no player has more than Javonte Williams. Even though he is splitting time with Michael Carter for the Tarheels, Williams has made the most of his opportunities. Now, he’s thought of as a mid-day two candidate thanks to his explosiveness and play-style, especially after his game against Miami.
US Women’s National Team star Carli Lloyd was spotted at Eagles practice kicking one field goal, and it got the whole NFL world buzzing. Now there are rumors about NFL teams contact her to kick for them, and she said she’s aiming for next season. Right now, it’s a good talking point, but as far as actually signing her for a camp invite in 2020, it’s neither a good idea or a bad one.
No matter who your CB1 is for the 2020 NFL Draft, I disagree. Whether you think it might be Jeffery Okudah, Paulson Adebo, or C.J. Henderson, you haven’t met the TRUE best corner in the nation. The only reason the entire country doesn’t know his name is because he’s been stuck in one of the deepest defensive backfields in the nation.
Another week of preseason games has gone by which means we are one week closer to the regular season starting, as well as roster cuts. Here is another batch of players that have improved their chances of making an NFL roster come week one.
Alliance of American Football was a good idea, but it targeted the wrong players.
Minor League Baseball can trace its history back to 1901. The NFL is about to enter its centennial season, and they need to create a minor league as well, but with a twist. This minor league will not be teams affiliated with NFL franchises.
