Montrezl Dashay Harrell was born in Tarboro, North Carolina. He attended North Edgecombe High School, where he was the star player. After high school, he was prepping for a year at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Virginia. He led that team to a 38-1 record, averaging 25.2 points and 13.6 rebounds per game.

The latest entry in the Lakers-Clippers rivalry was an exciting one. Though this was a back and forth game for much of the first half, the Lakers began pulling away in the third quarter. The Lakers would jump out to a 14-point lead thanks to a three-pointer from Lance Stephenson with 45 seconds in the period.
