The 2019 MLB season is now in its stretch run, closing out the final year of this decade. So I thought it would be fun to put together a team of the best players by position for the 2010s All-Decade Team. A couple picks are definitely no-brainers, with others being tougher to come to a decision. Without further ado, here we go. Let the arguments commence.
Well, the All-Star festivities are over, with the AL winning for the seventh year in a row, 4-3, and Mets’ Pete Alonso going home the winner of the home run derby. Now as we head into the second half tonight with a makeup game between the Astros and Rangers, let’s hand out our midseason awards.
You know the rules: Well forget those. This week I’m giving you the seven best hitters of the first half
To me, it is clearly time to spend up for the big hitters tonight. With only five games on the menu, the pitching options are few and far between. I’ve narrowed down a couple that I will be targeting and have included some of the hitters I like for tonight. It’s a new month and the same old grind. Let’s get into some Pitching and Core Hitters to target for tonight.
Just because I couldn’t serve you last week doesn’t mean the rules changed. Here are the Seven best hitters of the week.
This week in Baseball (Yes, that #TWIB show on FOX is something I miss, too!) sees the return of Albert Pujols to St. Louis for the first time since 2012. It also saw the Astros visiting Cincinnati for the first time since their move to the American League in 2013. Let’s break this down for a second.
The statistics used in this article are accurate as of the morning of June 13th.
If we’re being 100 percent honest, I’m not even playing the slate today. Why? It’s a four-gamer starting at 4:05 EST. There is just way too much variance and randomness with a slate this small. When a .200 hitting backup catcher could make or break you, I’ll gladly stay away. I will never tell you to do something that I wouldn’t do. With that said, you’re still reading this and you’re still here. So, that means I can’t tell you not to play it either. I still went ahead and did some research to try to help narrow it down. Let’s get right into the picks for today as I present to you some quick core plays.
This article is for the all-day slate starting at 2:10, but if you only plan on playing the five-game slate starting at 7:05, I have tips for you as well. Also, some of the lineups aren’t released yet, so be sure to check that they are before submitting.
