The Chicago Bulls haven’t won a championship since 1998. Before they can get to another finals, they have to reach the playoffs first.

The Milwaukee Bucks are the defending NBA champions. Star Giannis Antetokounmpo proved all of his doubters wrong in the playoffs, not only playing tremendous defense but also making the most of his free throws when it mattered most.
Well, this has been an interesting summer for the Miami Heat. After an early exit in last season’s playoffs, the team roster has seen many changes. Miami has brought in three new pieces in Kyle Lowry, Markieff Morris, and P.J. Tucker.
While the Miami Heat are having a successful free agency so far, they may need to lock in one of their current free agents. Heat summer league standout, Omer Yurtseven has dominated his first two games with the Heat’s summer league squad.
August 2nd marked the first day of Free Agency, but it appears that free agency already started before then. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Miami Heat was viewed as favorites to land Kyle Lowry on Sunday. Miami is expected to include Goran Dragic and Precious Achuiwa in a sign-and-trade deal for Lowry. Wojnarowski also noted that other Lowry suitors–Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans–are starting to look elsewhere. Even though Lowry seems likely, Miami is still looking for more.
The 2021 NBA Draft night went by without any moves from the Miami Heat. The Heat had the opportunity to use their available $5.6 million cash to buy a second-round pick but didn’t. However, Miami’s next opportunity comes tomorrow with free agency opening up.
The Miami Heat have been pursuing Bradley Beal for years. Despite the Heat’s interest, the Washington Wizards guard has remained loyal to the franchise with hopes of winning there. He led the team to the playoffs after a slow start to the season. But now, the Wizards guard could be considering a move elsewhere.
In an emergency edition of Hail Mary’s and Hoops podcast, Jeff Pratt is joined by Jeremy Guerin to break down the Bradley Beal trade rumors flying around.
Portland Trail Blazers superstar guard Damian Lillard will be requesting a trade in the coming days. Lillard has spent the last nine seasons with the team that drafted him, and the team had not shown great improvement from year to year. The team has been stuck as a Western Conference playoff squad but has very little success past the first round.
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Collin Sexton is reportedly available in the trade market. According to The Athletic’s Jason Lloyd, the team is not willing to pay the young guard a rookie max extension. However, rumors of the guard potentially being traded are nothing new.
It is now official. Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo will join the United States national team’s 12-man roster. This will be Adebayo’s first appearance on the national team. Two summers ago, Adebayo was cut from the national team.
The playoffs for the 2020-2021 NBA season finally arrived. This year’s edition will probably be as memorable as last year’s NBA Bubble because of games being played during the COVID-era. The biggest difference is that the games are no longer being played in Orlando but in actual NBA arenas. So traveling between cities and playing in front of the opponent’s crowd is back in the mix.
