The Carolina Panthers take to the field in a Week 8 Thursday Night Football matchup against their divisional rival, the Atlanta Falcons. The Panthers are 1-3 in divisional play, and 3-4 on the season after falling to the New Orleans Saints last week. The Falcons come into this week with just one win on the season, against the Minnesota Vikings, and six losses.
The Detroit Lions (2-3) and Atlanta Falcons (1-5) are both coming off convincing victories. While the Falcons try to build on their first win, the Lions will be trying to even their record and make it three wins in their last four games.
The Atlanta Falcons finally scored their first win of the season against the Minnesota Vikings. This game was expected to be a high-scoring affair. However, the point margin that the Falcons were able to put up against the Vikings was not.
