As of this very moment, the best record in baseball belongs to the Los Angeles Dodgers. This is no minor coincidence, a stroke of luck, or the earth stopping its rotation. This is a methodically and well-prepared team, that have been constructed in a way, that has not only led to the current success, but also for the long term future. Despite all of the criticism and questioning, it all leads back to one man, and this man is the front office enigma himself, Andrew Friedman.
Malone was born on September 8th, 2000. He started playing high school ball at Indian Trail Porter Ridge. After putting together a 1.36 ERA and striking out 76 batters in 51.1 innings pitched, Malone transferred to IMG Academy for his Senior year in Bradenton, Florida for more exposure. However, these two teams have the best record in their respective leagues as the calendar flips. Let’s break them down.
We have a seven-game slate on the docket for Thursday night. A quick glance over at ESPN’s Power Rankings as of May 27th brings to light of a few things. The Minnesota Twins appear to be for real as they are right there with heavyweights Houston Astros and L.A. Dodgers at the top. The Oakland Athletics have kicked it up a notch with a lengthy winning streak of late and have bumped up the ranks significantly. The Cleveland Indians, due to injuries and a thinner depth chart, are struggling, while the Atlanta Braves have really turned it on of late winning 12 of their last 18 games. DraftKings has got seven games for the main slate so let’s build some lineups!
