Week 1 is in the books, but the fun is only just beginning. Week 2 looks like another magnificent slate of games to enjoy. Fair warning, there will be quite a few Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders mentioned in this week’s article. Both teams are in a position to post monster numbers from a fantasy outlook. Some, more so due to their price, and others because they’re monsters every week and have great match-ups. The goal of the cash game article is to outline some of the safer plays, while also, providing options that will help you create the most optimal builds. The whole point of it all is to make some money. Sometimes we don’t, but putting ourselves in the best position to is the main thing. That goes without saying, but can sometimes get overshadowed by the results on a week to week basis. All people want to know is how many points a guy scored, and not necessarily the route in which he got there. DFS is not only a science but a math equation. In May of 2018, the Supreme Court ruled that the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act violated the Constitution’s 10th Amendment. Without boring you guys with all the legal terms and meaning, it simply means each state can allow sports gambling if they wish. Since then sports betting has exploded, along with daily fantasy. Neither of us are professional gamblers nor know everything there is to sports betting, but it’s always fun to have some money on the line when watching the games.

You read that right. The Lions did what the NFL is trying so desperately to make impossible, end a game in a tie. After taking a 24-6 lead into the 4th quarter, the Cardinals rallied back to send the game to Overtime. A pair of field goals evened the score at 27, and the game ended there.

Well, this is it. This is what we’ve all been waiting for. NFL football is back baby! Of course, we had the Chicago versus Green Bay game on Thursday night to kick off the season, but that was simply a tease. A low scoring defensive battle with one touchdown over the course of the game. Sure, it was a good football game (not the outcome I wanted being a Bears fan), but not at all what fantasy players were hoping for either. There will be a lot more action and points today, guaranteed. Cash games have been an area we can find an edge when it pertains to daily fantasy football. Every year new players jump aboard the always rolling DFS train. Luckily for you, most of the new players will be applying what they know about season-long fantasy into DFS. That’s not a terrible strategy, but it can lead to bad habits or skipping over important details. By putting in the extra effort and taking in as much as you can, you’re already winning. In one of the closest position battles out there between two tier two tight ends provide an opportunity to provide fantasy points on your roster when you pass on Travis Kelce, Zach Ertz, and George Kittle. With both Hunter Henry and Even Engram in offenses that should produce targets, they have the capability to be top tight ends at the end of the season. According to Fantasy Football Calculator, Engram has an ADP of 5.09 (TE5) while Henry has an ADP of 6.04 (TE6) makes for an interesting choice during the draft process. Let’s look at some positives and negatives for both players at their current ADPs.
