The Broncos (2-4) had their two-game winning streak snapped last week against the Kansas City Chiefs while the Chargers (2-4) are coming in fresh off a 39-29 victory at home over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Five weeks down, and the 2020 NFL season remains a rollercoaster for fantasy managers. Uncertainty on a Tuesday, choosing backup players, and rescheduled games have riddled the schedule of late. These issues are likely to continue, so keying on valuable free agents and strengthening your bench is of utmost importance.
For the second time in three weeks, the New Orleans Saints will play on Monday night. This time they face the Los Angeles Chargers in a matchup between Drew Brees and Justin Herbert. Ironically, Herbert is the successor to Brees’ successor, Philip Rivers, in Los Angeles. Tonight’s game should be entertaining no matter your reason for watching.
A few weeks back, I wrote a similar article like this one providing six running backs to target on the waiver wire after we saw Saquon Barkley and Christian McCaffrey end up on injured reserve. Unfortunately, we had another weekend with two more star running backs going down with serious injuries.
It was an offensive heavy week for the potential stars of the National Football League. The rookie quarterbacks made strong appearances and several skill position players continued to dominate in the second week of play. However, the defensive rookies still had a few stellar performances and the Los Angeles Chargers, despite the loss, should have a lot of faith in where their 2020 draft class could take them.
Unfortunately, unlike in Madden, we can’t turn the injuries off, and yesterday we wish we could have. We saw several star running backs leave the game and not return because of injuries.
