The Minnesota Twins were quite a disappointment this season, finishing in last place in a weak American League Central at 73-89. Who will they be looking to add to turn it back around in 2022?
The Minnesota Twins were expected to win the AL Central this season or at least battle the Chicago White Sox for the top spot. That’s not quite how it went down. Let’s recap their season and hand out a few awards.
Now that the MLB Draft is over as well as the trade deadline there are quite a few teams that have new players at the top of their farm systems. The Minnesota Twins, for one, have added two top 100 guys according to MLB Pipeline.
Wow! The trade deadline has now passed, and what a crazy time it was. Some moves were predictable, but others came out of nowhere. We will be looking at each division and what each team did, starting with the American League East. The AL East was one of the busiest divisions in the league at the deadline.
The Toronto Blue Jays returned home to Rogers Centre after an 18-month stay in Buffalo, N.Y. Upon settling back in at their true home stadium, the Jays wasted no time in facilitating a blockbuster trade.
We all knew the Minnesota Twins were going to be sellers at the deadline, and they started already. It is likely the Twins are not done yet either.
The New York Mets have had one of the most interesting seasons of any team in baseball. Coming in with big expectations from big offseason acquisition Francisco Lindor, the Mets were met by some disappointing results. With this the case, the Mets have their work cut out for them this trade deadline.
After selling at the past few deadlines, the Giants are back in the market as buyers—and they might wind up being big-time aggressive. With the best record in all of baseball, it is imperative that the Giants address areas of weakness to reduce the threat of losing ground.
With the trade deadline coming up at the end of July, there are a few players the Atlanta Braves could bring in to help them in the second half.
In mid-May, the Angels cut Albert Pujols and lost perennial MVP candidate Mike Trout to injury. They have responded by playing winning baseball since
Two teams that won over 100 games this season will begin their battle in the Bronx tonight at 7:07 ET. This series should be full of scoring as the Yankees and Twins were #1 and #2 in HRs (Twins 307-Yankees 306) and runs (Yankees 943-Twins 939). The pitching will have to be on point for both sides and mistakes in the field and on the basepaths will give the other side extra outs. Neither team can afford that with the firepower these squads have. Let’s break down the matchup.
