In the conversation to the top overall pick in April’s draft, many have regarded Evan Neal as the top offensive lineman in this year’s class. The Florida native surrendered just two sacks on over 1,000 snaps.
The Cleveland Browns have changed the fate of their team and made picks that were successful and made an immediate impact. The draft looked to be one of the best in the league right after the draft. Overall, these rookies made a positive impact on a deep push into the playoffs.

With a new coaching staff and an emphasis on the offensive line, the Browns came out firing. They made the playoffs with an 11-5 record and pulled off an upset against the Steelers in the Wild Card round as the sixth-seed. Cleveland was just a few plays away from pulling off the upset of the year against the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round but fell just short.
After a few short weeks of NFL gameplay, an assessment on rookie players can be made. While fans shouldn’t overreact to the few weeks of football, there is evidence to show which rookies are legit and which are going to struggle.
