We’re not even a month into the 2022 Supercross season, and already the injuries have piled up. Seth Hammaker, of Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki, is now the latest rider set to miss some time.
After nearly two years, Supercross returns to its premier venue, Angel Stadium, for the traditional season opener. After one of the more noteworthy offseasons of the last decade, there is finally racing to talk about.
With Anaheim 1 now just two days away, this year’s 250 West field has officially rounded into form. Typically, the heavy hitter teams like to play games with who they send out for the opening Regional Championship.
Despite some threat of scattered storms a few days out, the racing on Saturday at High Point went by without much if any inclement weather. Headlines included a first-time 250 National winner. Round 2 of Supercross in Dallas saw the 250 West Points lead shift due to a post-race penalty. Current 450 points leader Cooper Webb was once again able to put his KTM on the top step of the podium.
