To wrap up this 2022 NFL free agent positional rankings, we will preview the group of defensive backs set to be available.
It is not much of a stretch to say that the 2022 New England Patriots will feel different than the 2021 team. Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels has officially left for the Las Vegas Raiders.
Although the New England Patriots had a respectable 10-7 year, their season ended in anything but respectable fashion. Blown out by the Buffalo Bills and quite frankly dominated in every facet.
After a 2-4 start to the 2021 season, the New England Patriots have become one of the NFL’s hottest teams in short order. After a tough overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys, they have since won four straight, outscoring opponents 3:1 in that span.

The 2020 season offered some strong play from the defensive backs. As we continue our trip around the gridiron, here are the top 10 defensive backs for the past season.

The loss leaves the Patriots with multiple questions as their early offseason approaches, while the Dolphins remain firmly in the playoff hunt.
