In what was an Indianapolis 500 for the ages, Helio Castroneves (at the ripe age of 46) has once again made history. The Brazilian icon won his record-tying fourth Indy 500 and becomes the fourth-oldest driver in history to win the race.
For the fourth time in his iconic career, Scott Dixon has qualified on pole for the Indianapolis 500. He was the final car to make a pass based on times from Saturday, and it came down all the way to his fourth and final lap.
Today, nine drivers will compete for the pole position for this year’s edition of The Indianapolis 500. After day one of qualifying yesterday, however, positions ten through thirty were locked in.
