The Packers came into the 2019 season with a bunch of question marks. The team finally moved on from Mike McCarthy and was now led by Matt LaFleur. While the offense endured many growing pains during the season, the new and improved defense shouldered the load behind their three key free-agent additions in Preston and ZaDarius Smith and Adrian Amos. The Packers went 13-3 led by a record of 8-1 in one-score games and made the playoffs as the second seed. While in the playoffs, they secured another close victory over Seattle before getting demolished by San Francisco in the NFC Championship Game.

With that being said, fantasy drafts are aplenty currently as fans are ready to finally watch some football and play against friends and family to potentially win their fantasy leagues. During your fantasy drafts, some players will elect to take a tight end early, while others tend to lean on high-upside players. I will be taking the latter half approach in this article and will be talking about Miami’s Mike Gesicki, who is currently being selected as the TE15 and 123rd player overall according to the Fantasy Pros PPR ADP.

With the season around the corner, some players look back to last year to see how players played. If you’re like those people, then Jared Goff is off of your draft board. Fortunately, some analysts look deeper into the scope of his season which I will do today. Instead of telling you to not draft him though, I’m telling you to draft Goff. According to Fantasy Pros PPR ADP, Goff is being selected as the QB18 and the 140th player off the board overall.

Every NFL offseason is different from one another. Of course, the pandemic we’re currently in makes this offseason one of the most complicated in history. This year’s draft was different than any other. There are some key free agents are still on the market due to the situation we’re currently in. Typically, each team goes through training camp, practices, and four preseason games before cuts occur. This year though, there are no preseason games. While this doesn’t affect the starters, it drastically affects rookies and bottom-tier players on the roster, especially undrafted free agents.

Whenever one asks for a new contract in the eight-figure a year range, most of the media laughs and says that running backs aren’t worth that. Recent holdouts by Le’Veon Bell and Melvin Gordon didn’t net them the contracts that they were looking for even by their new teams. Of course, there are running backs around the league who have been paid those eight-figure contracts who haven’t lived up to those contracts due to conflicts with the coaching staff or injuries. Devonta Freeman falls into that category.
