The 2021 NFL Draft appears to be light on quality interior defensive lineman, opposed to recent years. This however could open the door to players slipping through the cracks and becoming great finds later. Enter Daviyon Nixon from Iowa, a hyper-athletic interior defensive tackle who brings a good deal of tools to the table.

Spencer Brown is a top ten player at his position and I’m not talking about the tackle. While the Northern Iowa tackle has gotten a lot of hype, there is another player with the same name that is a good football player as well. This one is a running back from UAB. He ran for over 4,000 yards, 41 rushing touchdowns, and 19 career games with over 100 yards. Brown is seen as a consensus undrafted pick, but there is certainly more talent than that.
Levi Onwuzurike is a player who is shooting up draft boards, and for good reason. He’s a very talented player who can give NFL teams a bit of everything at the defensive tackle position. The big concern with him is consistency and size. He’s failed to make continuous reps impactful but has certainly shown the ability that he can put all of his game together at once.
Javian Hawkins is one of the most electric prospects in this draft. It might be hard to find him on the field due to his stature and insane speed, but the defense surely knows where he is at at all times. Well, if they do not, then six points better be put up on the board already.
While Creed Humphrey, Landon Dickerson, and Quinn Meinerz steal the spotlight of the center position of the NFL Draft, there are plenty of other options later on in the draft. Jimmy Morrissey is one of them. Morrissey arrived to Pittsburgh as a walk on, but ended up starting all four years he was there, was elected team captain, and a three-time All-ACC Selection.
